Programme Gradué SCP : first Afterwork Seminar of the year
Elodie Gloesener, Junior Professor Chair at the University of Lille will share with us about 'Phase behavior of clathrate hydrates in complex systems: Astrophysical applications'
Do not miss the first Afterwork Seminar of the year that will take place on Thursday 21st November at 5.15 p.m in the amphitheater of Chevreul Institute
Elodie holds a PhD in planetary sciences from UCLouvain (Belgium) where she studied methane trapping and global clathrate stability regions in the Martian crust. After a first postdoc in Belgium, during which she studied the surface and subsurface water environment on Mars, Elodie joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology from June 2021 to May 2024 to study the stability of clathrate hydrates under conditions relevant to the outer Solar System. In September 2024, she joined the University of Lille as a Junior Professor Chair. Her research involves experimental investigation and thermodynamic modeling to better understand clathrate hydrate phase behavior and applications to CO2 sequestration in marine sediments and icy moons.
Drinks will be served after the seminar
