After graduating from your doctoral studies, you are presented with multiple career paths you can follow
Many doctors either :
- go on to become academics or a teacher-researchers
- or move more toward private, corporate or socio-economic work environments
News: 2026 Doctors' Ceremony
To mark the end of their studies, each doctoral candidate, dressed in academic robes and a doctoral cap, will be presented with an academic scarf and a specimen doctoral diploma by their doctoral school director.

The sixth edition of the Doctorate Ceremony for 2025 graduates will take place on Monday 9 March 2026 at 5pm in Lille at the Nouveau Siècle (reception from 3.30pm).
Registration is compulsory and must be completed before 31 January 2026: https://www.univ-lille.fr/ceremonie-des-docteurs-2026
Access to the venue for each participant (doctor, accompanying person, other guest) will be granted upon presentation of a personalised QR code, which will be sent by email to the following address: support@weezevent.com.
Please check your email carefully! Doctors will receive the QR codes for their guests directly and will be responsible for forwarding them (please note: a separate email will be sent for each guest).
