Grants and Other Financial and Material Assistance
Adequate living conditions are crucial for the success of your studies. The University of Lille has developed several schemes to provide you with individualised support.
In the event of financial difficulties, you can seek help from the university or the CROUS, depending on your situation and needs.
The University of Lille is committed and a good corporate citizen! It organises a wide range of activities to help and support its students, such as the free loan of bicycles and computers, help with connections, and even the donation of hygiene kits, access to bicycle self-repair workshops and organic food baskets for collection on campus... !
A wide range of financial aid is also available (grants based on social criteria, specific annual and one-off grants (ASAP), the FSDIE (Fonds de solidarité et de développement des initiatives étudiantes) - social aid, etc.). Find all the information here! The university also has two solidarity grocery shops on the Pont-de-Bois and Santé campuses.
And don't hesitate to contact the CROUS for information on grants, accommodation, social action, culture and campus life... Social workers are on duty in Lille, Villeneuve d'Ascq and Roubaix.
At university, the BVE&H is your point of contact! For advice and practical information, visit the Student Life and Disability Office!
The Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility Department can provide you with guidance and support on how to make the most of your budget.

- Specific annual assistance
This aid is the equivalent of a grant based on social criteria. It allows you to be exempted from paying university tuition fees and the student and campus life contribution (CVEC), because of a particular situation.
- Specific one-off assistance
This allowance is intended to help students continue their studies despite a serious situation arising during the academic year.
To apply for specific one-off assistance, you must first contact Mrs Cramblin, the University of Lille's social worker.
A file will then be compiled and sent to a Commission for examination.
